The Royal Scots Pictorial Supplement to LMS Loco Profile No.15

The concept behind the Pictorial Supplements to the LMS Profile Series is to make available additional high quality images that could not be reasonably accommodated in the main title. This Supplement does not repeat anything from the original text, but rather provides short lead-ins to each section of the book, with all pictures accompanied by detailed captions.

In addition there are two new General Arrangement drawings covering the smoke boxes and middle cylinders of the rebuilt Royal Scot locomotives. The photographs within the book are arranged in chronological order, and have generally been chosen to show the locomotives hauling trains. Within each section of the book the pictures are also grouped geographically.

Photographs have been chosen from both Rail Online and Rail Archive Stephenson and, in order to make the most of the quality of the material, many are reproduced as full-page images.
