Ten years after the original 'Creating Cameo Layouts' was published and nearly four years after we sadly lost Iain, this is a revised and expanded edition of Iain's last book.

In addition to the original text the pictures and layout have been improved, there are several new images and Mick Simpson remembers Iain with a moving foreword plus a final chapter on 'Pit Hill', the layout they were building together. There is also a new chapter on the results of the 'Cameo Challenge' and the wonderful layouts that were constructed as a result.

Iain's definition of a cameo layout was one that did not require a dedicated site, was easy to move and store, didn't look out of place in a domestic setting and would be a breeze to take to exhibitions. Iain argued his case convincingly, backing up his concept of "a well crafted miniature in a complimentary setting" with a wealth of practical experience and numerous useful techniques and ideas, all set in the context of finescale modelling since the 1980's.
