An illustrated history of British Railways covered hopper wagons Volume 2. Part 1: Gravity discharge hoppers

This is the first part of Volume 2, looking at the many types of wagon which discharged their loads by gravity.
It has considerable detail about the types of traffic for which these wagons were designed and traffic flows where these wagons were used. As with his previous books, the drawings are based on measurements taken of actual wagons when they were in service.

Three further books in the series are planned for 2027, with preliminary titles of:
