Riding the ROG Stock Move #3 - Cab ride: Carlisle - Glasgow Works - Shields Depot

Cab Ride: Carlisle - Glasgow Works - Shields Depot via Beattock, Mossend Yard, Springburn, Anniesland and Glasgow Central Low Level.

This cab ride is the second part of an epic journey for ROG operated 37800, heading from Leicester to Glasgow Works for an EMU move.

Starting from Carlisle we head north along the WCML, up Beattock to Carstairs and onto Mossend Yard when the loco stabled overnight. The following day we continue to Springburn and a Class 320 EMU is collected from Glasgow Works.

And then it gets very interesting! Due to a points failure and engineering works, the train takes a huge circular route around Glasgow, running from Cowlairs to Maryhill and onto Anniesland via the rarely used spur. From here we continue via Partick and onto the Argyle Line heading underground and passing through Glasgow Central Low Level platforms before running up and out via Rutherglen, passing Polmadie and finally arrival at Shields TMD!

With a 'thrash' cam recording the loco, both journeys are shown in their entirety. If a 37 on the northern section of the WCML is one highlight, then a 37 prowling the Glasgow suburbs with an EMU in tow is another!

Lots of rare track and curves are featured and a Class 37/7 on the low-level sections of the Argyle line is a rare sight indeed!
